On November 5th he held our annal Mix-it-up day lunch. Several 8th grade student leaders worked with Ms. Lurgio, Mr. Ezovski, and Mrs. Pearson to plan some activities for the students. We ask students to sit at a different table for lunch and learn something new about students they don't usually sit with.
Students in Mrs. Brocato's science lab were learning about how to measure liquids using a variety of different measuring tools. As they work on data and measurement, they are focusing on metric measures and ensuring that all of their numbers are "properly dressed" with the right units.
8th graders in Mr. Main's class are exploring the causes of the American Revolution. They are learning some valuable lessons about the freedoms we now enjoy.
Reminder to all students the Monday 11/23/2015 is New England Patriots Spirit Day. Wear your Patriots clothes to school on Monday.
We have no school next Wednesday, 11/25 as we celebrate Thanksgiving.

Happy first week of November!
We had our second "Friday Knight Meeting" today to celebrate our student and staff Knights of the Month.
To get the meeting started, Mr. Anthony and Mrs. Goldstein did some impromptu dancing.
As part of our good "knight" news that students shared Ben talked about the soccer team. The Jr High soccer team lost their playoff game on Thursday, but were one of the 8 best teams in the state this year. Congrats to the soccer team and Coach Main.
Sam shared about the awesome chorus concert on Thursday night. And Andrea told us to mark our calendars for the upcoming drama production of "A Christmas Carol" December 10 - 13.
Mr. Main and Mr. Gloria also gave a wrap-up of the Wonder Walk-a-thon. As a Jr High we raised over $3700. They also recognized several students for their outstanding contributions to the event.
We recognized our Student Knights of the Month of October for their Respectful, Responsible and Safe behavior this month.
Congratulations also goes to all of our Staff Knights of the Month. All staff at the Junior High are eligible for this award. One student nominated Jr High janitor Deb D this month.
This month's Teacher Knight of the month is Reading Specialist, Mrs. Capuano.
Don't forget to nominate the staff member you feel has been respectful, responsible and safe for the month of November. The nomination form is linked from the Jr High website, this blog, and right here.
Remember there is no school on Wednesday November 11, 2015 in honor of Veteran's day. Have a great weekend!
