Good afternoon!
This is more of a business post than usual, but it's the time of the year when a lot of things are happening, and I want to be sure you are aware.

Moving up ceremony - 8th grade will have their moving up ceremony on the last day of school, June 22, 2017 at 9:00 AM in the Senior High School Gymnasium. There are no tickets required so feel free to invite grandma and grandpa and whomever else you would like.

Any student not passing for the year who needs to attend summer school to complete 8th grade or who will be retained will NOT be allowed to attend the moving up ceremony.

End of the Year Field Trips - The end of the year celebratory field trips will be happening on June 21, 2017. They will take place during the school day. Any student who is not passing for the year and either needs to attend summer school or who will be retained will NOT be allowed to attend the end of the year field trips.

Summer School - Any student failing ELA or Math must take summer school in order to move on to the next grade level. Summer school letters will be sent home this week and registration can be found on the junior high website at this link. Any student attending summer school is not permitted to attend the end of the year trips or the moving up ceremony.

School Lunches - We have recently become aware of an issue of students owing excessive amounts of money on their school lunch accounts. Phone calls are being made home and emails should also be coming directly from Aramark. You can check balances and put money directly on student accounts at www.myschoolbucks.com. There are many a la carte menu items that students can choose at the Junior High School, and therefore it is easy for them to develop huge bills without you even being aware. Please take the time to check your balance and send the money in or pay online. Pricing is listed below.

Ms. Lico, Red Knight Science teacher, was part of a great article in South County Life Magazine about the importance of school gardens. Check out the article, with pictures from our STEM Park.

Thank you to all the parents who came to Student Led Conferences on Monday night and those who have come in this week. It is really important for all students to have the opportunity to present. Thank you for the outstanding turnout.

Enjoy some pictures of the student presentations!
